Return and Refund Policy
Returns accepted for 14 days We want to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. Therefore, we accept returns within 14 days from the date of purchase. If more than 14 days have passed, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.
Customer responsible for return shipping To start the return process, the customer must contact our customer service to obtain a return instruction. The customer is responsible for the shipping costs associated with the return. Please ensure that the item is properly packed to avoid damage during the return transport.
Exceptions: None customized goods Please note that customized items cannot be returned. an example of this could be a modified gameboy or if a console has modifications according to your wishes. These items cannot be returned.
If you do not collect the package you have ordered and otherwise behave completely passively, this will not give us any indication as to why the package has not been collected. You will then not have met the requirements set for you in accordance with §11 and §13 of the Withdrawal Act, and thus lose the right to break the agreement. You will then be charged with return shipping costs and a fee of NOK 500 to RetroBoy Liekis for processing the case. You will also be charged for return shipping costs if you refuse to receive the package.
In the case of returns beyond what the law stipulates, this must be approved by RetroBoy Liekis in advance. There is no automaticity in RetroBoy Liekis approving returns.
The item's condition when you send it back
The customer has a right of investigation. The customer can examine the item in the same way as in a store. If the examination goes beyond what is natural and necessary to determine the nature, properties and function of the item, the return can be rejected for a fee of NOK 500 and return shipping. The condition is that the item(s) is returned in substantially the same condition and quantity as it was delivered and received. The item(s) must be sent back to us in the original packaging and be packed in the same way as when it was received. Instructions for use and other accessories must be sent with them if they were included. Otherwise, RetroBoy Liekis will have the right to make a withdrawal in the amount that is repaid.
If the item has lost value, and this is because you have used it in a way other than what was necessary to determine the nature, characteristics or function of the item, you can only get a part of the purchase price back. The amount you can get back depends on the item's commercial value, and in certain cases it may mean you can only get the shipping costs back.
All items with user-specific information such as f.eks. mobile phones, PCs and smartwatches must be reset. Passwords and all other user information must be removed so that the product can be used by a new user.
The item must be returned in the original packaging. If the original packaging is missing, the item may be damaged during transport. This means a decrease in the value of the item, which you will be liable for.
Right of complaint
When you shop with us as a consumer, the Consumer Purchase Act's rules for purchasing goods apply. This means that you have the right to complain for 24 months for used items, and for goods that are brand new, there is a 60-month right to complain after the date of purchase. In the case of commercial purchases, there is a 12-month right of complaint.
You must complain "within a reasonable time" after you discovered, or should have discovered it, give RetroBoy Liekis notice that you want to claim the defect (complaint). If you make a complaint within two months after the fault is discovered, the complaint will always be timely.
A complaint case must be created before you send in the item. If your complaint is justified, it means that you can either get the item repaired, exchanged, the money back or a reduction in the price, depending on the specific situation.
It can only be advertised on goods that have an inherent weakness. If the submitted item is tested free of defects or has been exposed to physical abuse, such as shock, squeezing or moisture by the user, then the right to complain will expire and you will be charged a test fee (*) for the examination / service and shipping.
The customer should always have tested/troubleshooted the product before submission. If the problem is caused by programs, drivers or other things that were not originally installed on the product, then resetting to factory settings can solve the problem and this is not covered by the right of complaint. We test all items by recreating the original configuration. The test fee (*) is calculated on the basis of the time spent in connection with testing and troubleshooting.
If you have taken measures on your own to remedy the defect beyond what may have been agreed with RetroBoy Liekis in advance, then these expenses will not be covered.
(*) Test fee
A test fee of NOK 500 per started half hour incl. VAT (however max. NOK 2000 incl. VAT), if the delivered product has been tested flawlessly at RetroBoy, or it turns out that the right of appeal does not apply. If RetroBoy has to carry out troubleshooting on systems that have not been purchased, assembled or installed by RetroBoy, the test fee can however be up to NOK 2000 incl. VAT to cover our time consumption. If you do not want RetroBoy to perform such troubleshooting, the defective component must be removed from your other setup and submitted separately.
Condition of the goods at the time of complaint
Remember to pack the item securely together with all the accessories that are necessary to be able to test the item.
Damage to products caused by operating or handling errors, modifications, installation of third-party software or gross abuse is not covered by the right of complaint.
Remember to make a copy/backup of all data. RetroBoy Liekis, cannot be held responsible for lost data and other indirect consequential damages, which goods sold by RetroBoy Liekis may have caused.
The process for requesting a return

After we have received and inspected the item, we will process the refund. Refunds are usually processed within 5-7 working days after the item has been received.

The refund will be made to the original payment method used for the purchase.
